Who is Team Wanta?
Team Wanta Eliminate MS comprises a group of family and friends
supporting the cause for a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.
Our primary fund raising
endeavor is the annual Oregon MS150 Bike Tour, however many team members
participate in a variety of MS related support and fund raising activities
including the MS Spring Auction and the MS Walk.
Several members of our team have been riding in MS150
bike tours across the country for many years. In 1998, we brought
together 15 riders, officially established our team, and raised over
$5,200 for MS. By 2002, we grew our team size to almost 60
cyclists and volunteers and to-date we have raised over $223,000 for the
National Multiple Sclerosis Society Oregon Chapter.
Throughout the years, we earned team top fund raising
honors twice (and runner up three times) and largest team size honors
four
times (and runner up three times) demonstrating our substantial
commitment to fighting multiple sclerosis. See
History for more results details.
