Team Fundraising

For the second year in a row, Team Wanta recruited the largest team for the OR MS150 - 57 riders, or about 15% of the total field (over twice the size of the second largest team of 25 riders).  Also, Team Wanta raised over $31,000 for Multiple Sclerosis (almost 14% of the OR MS150 total), bringing our four-year total funds raised to over $95,000.

Additionally, we continue to expand our list of top individual fund raisers as well.  11 Team Wanta riders made it into the Golden Gears Club (see list below) individually raising pledges exceeding $1,000, and 11 Team Wanta riders made it into the Top Banana Club (see list below) individually raising pledges exceeding $500 (vs. 10 and 10 respectively for 2000).

Before we get to the stats, major Kudos to the 2001 top fundraising team, the MS Busters, who raised almost $35,000 - an average of over $1,500 per rider!  Also, major kudos to the top two individual fund raisers (unfortunately not Team Wanta members) John Tietjen ($12,310) and Chris Crawford ($11,065).
