Team Fundraising |
Team Wanta
was awarded the 1999 MS150 top fundraising honors for
raising $23,508 for Multiple Sclerosis - more than 10% of the total ride
pledges raised of $208,600.
Our funds raised represent a phenomenal 400% increase over our 1998 total
funds raised while our team size grew 200% to 30 from 15 riders in 1998.
8 Team Wanta riders made it into the Golden
Gears Club (see list below) individually raising pledges exceeding
$1,000. Many thanks for your superb efforts!
The benefit to the National MS Society reaches further than the pledges raised directly
by our team. Our results encouraged competitive fund raising by other teams in
their drive for top honors. The second and third place teams raised
$18,312 and $14,303 respectively.
For comparison sake, the 1998 first place team raised just over $7,000 and total
fundraising increased to $208,600 in 1999 from $150,000 in 1998.
Congratulations to all!
